As an International Book Scout, I am always on the look out for new books originally written in German and Spanish to present to English-language publishers.
I provide readers’ reports, sample translations and comprehensive pitch packs for publishers both in the UK and abroad. Take a look at my current reccomendations.
Translating for children
I have a special interest in books for children and young adults.

In April 2021, I was awarded a grant from Arts Council England as part of their Developing Your Creative Practice programme, focusing on a project Translating Literature for Children. Three of the books from this project have been published by HopeRoad.
In the 2025 Translated YA Book Prize from the Global Literature in Libraries Initiative, The Wild Ones by Antonio Ramos Revillas and The Darkness of Colours by Martín Blasco were both shortlisted, with The Darkness of Colours winning the prize.
Translating for adults
My translations for adults have been published in several literary journals including No Man’s Land and Latin American Literature Today. I was shortlisted for the 2019 Goethe-Institut Award for New Translation and the 2020 Austrian Cultural Forum London Translation Prize, in the category for aspiring translators. I also received a Special Commendation from the Institute of Translation and Interpreting in the 2019 ITI Award for Best Newcomer.
World Kid Lit
As co-editor of World Kid Lit from 2019-2023, I work to highlight the importance of translated and world books for children, as well as encouraging publishers to translate books from languages that are less represented in English translation.
